2026 Spring Season Registration

The South Simcoe Ball Hockey Leagues will begin registration for the Spring 2026 season on December 1st as usual; however, we have implemented some changes.

**U6 Program Announcement**

This season, we will be offering the U6 program in Barrie, Innisfil, and Bradford. The program will continue for 9 weeks, with sessions held once a week.

Schedule:
- Barrie: Thursdays at 5:30 PM
- Innisfil: Sundays at 9:00 AM
- Bradford: Tuesdays at 5:30 PM

There are no residency restrictions. For example, if you live in Barrie but find that the Innisfil schedule works better for you, you are welcome to register for the Innisfil location.

In the past, we have run the program with Rep hockey players from the South Simcoe Storm and the Barrie Colts, as they earn their high school volunteer hours. However, we encourage any parent with a hockey background to join in on the fun!

**U8 through U14 Program Announcement**

The program will continue as a local league initiative. Registration for each municipality will be limited, so we recommend that you register early, as spots may fill up quickly.

- Barrie: 3 teams, maximum 45 players
- Bradford: 2 teams, maximum 30 players
- Innisfil: 3 teams, maximum 45 players

This structure will allow us to create four divisions of eight teams each. Depending on their location, each team will play 7 to 9 home games and 2 to 3 away games.

There are no residency restrictions. For example, if you live in Barrie but find that the Innisfil schedule works better for you, you are welcome to register for the Innisfil location.

We will conduct player evaluations to ensure that we create balanced teams from each municipality. Please note that trades may occur if necessary; however, these trades will remain within the same municipality. For example, if we form three teams in Barrie and one team is significantly stronger than the other two, we will make adjustments to balance those three teams. However, we will not move players from Barrie to Innisfil or Bradford. The same procedure will apply to teams in Innisfil and Bradford.

**U16 & U18 Program Announcement**

Many of the boys will be refereeing our younger divisions and also have part-time jobs, so we have decided to change our day of play to Wednesday evenings. Four games will be held in Innisfil, while the remaining games will take place at the Thornton Arena.

Players in this age category are welcome to join with friends or as part of a complete team (minimum of 15 players). However, changes can be made in extreme circumstances, though this is highly unlikely.. 

**Fees**

Due to the increased floor time and referee expenses, fees for the spring season have risen.
