Now that the summer ball hockey season has concluded and the kids are back in school, we are pleased to announce that the registration for the Fall season of Ball Hockey is now available on our website.

The season will include 12 regular season games and 2 playoff games exclusively on Sunday afternoons from late October to early February at the Bradford District Community Centre.

We are offering the following divisions for registration:

- U9 (Birth years 2018-2020)
- U12 (Birth years 2015-2017)
- U15 (Birth years 2012-2014)
- U17 (Birth years 2009-2012)

Please note that these divisions may be adjusted, but we will ensure that players within each division share the same three-year birth range. Any changes will be made after online registration closes in mid-October.

This season, to encourage more registrations, we have significantly reduced the price to $180 per player. The only change to the program is that uniforms will be loaned out for the season.

Registration for the summer season is now open online. The season will begin on July 9th and will end on September 6th. Unlike our spring local league season, this summer season will bring together all kids from our boundary to play in one large group.

Games will take place on Thursday evenings. For the first four weeks, games will be held at Thornton and East Bayfield Arenas, while for weeks five to nine, they will be moved to Thornton and Morgan Russell Memorial Arenas.

We will be offering the following age groups.
U9 (2017/2019)
U12 (2014/2016)
U15 (2011/2013)
U18 (2008/2010)

Please note that friend requests will only be accepted if they are mutual. For example, if Player A wants to play with Player B, Player B must also send a friend request to Player A in order for it to be considered valid.

This year, the South Simcoe Ball Hockey Leagues aim to have representation at the OBHF Provincials in the following age categories: U8A, U10A, U10B, U12A, U12B, U14A, U16A, and U18A.

The Provincials will be held in Mississauga, ON, on the following dates:

- July 3rd to 5th: U8A, U10A, U12A
- July 10th to 12th: U14A, U16A, U18A
- July 17th to 19th: U8B, U10B, U12B, U14B

Additionally, the OBHF has announced that the top four teams in the U14, U16, and U18 categories will qualify for the CBHA Junior Nationals in 2027.

To better prepare ourselves, we have scheduled tryouts earlier in the season so that teams can be selected and practice well in advance of the tournaments.

Provincial tryouts are available online, and registration will remain open until May 1st. Our selected coaches will be named shortly after.

The scheduled dates are set, but if more floortime is available, we plan to add additional dates in early to mid-May.

We are excited to announce that registration for our summer season is now open!

All games will be played on Thursday evenings. If permitted, we will begin the season with the first two weeks in Barrie and Innisfil, followed by the next six weeks in Thornton and Innisfil.

The regular season will commence on July 10 and conclude on September 4. Championship weekend will take place on September 5 and 6.

We are offering the following divisions:

- U8: 6:00 PM
- U10: 7:00 PM
- U12: 8:00 PM
- U14: 9:00 PM
- U17: 10:00 PM

Each division will consist of four teams, with 15 players on each team. Due to recent feedback, we expect that spots will fill up quickly, so we recommend registering as soon as possible. This season, we have replaced the standard "summer t-shirt" uniform with a full uniform similar to what you received for the spring season.

We want to inform you that registration for the upcoming season is currently ongoing. We are pleased to offer last year's rates at $220 per player until November 25. After this date, rates will be adjusted to the current cost of $235.

In our U8, U10, U12 and U14 divisions, registration has been set up to accommodate 45 players per municipality. This will allow for 3 teams from Barrie, Innisfil, and Bradford. Once these divisions reach capacity (estimated late December), we will reach out to families to inquire on who would be interested in moving their child into our new rep division. Our goal is to eventually have all higher-level players in their own division to ensure fair play for all.

We will continue to end the season with a double elimination bracket tournament for the U12, U14, U16 and Rep Divisions. 

Also, a reminder on the new OBHF ruling. Players are more than welcome to play in multiple or surrounding leagues; however, you cannot attend provincial tryouts or compete with another league outside of your geographical territory. An updated map along with further information will be made available shortly.
